Description:

Kit is a pocket-money app with a purpose, on a mission to improve the financial capability of kids in Australia. From day one, Kit’s kid-first design has been highly visual and interactive. And with the launch of gamified learning, this experience has extended through to an imaginative in-app world through ‘Kit Money Quests’.

In this world, the Urchins are striving to wipe financial knowledge from the Quantumverse forever. Only by joining with Kit, their smart money sidekick, and completing the Money Quests can kids stop the Urchins in their pink, spikey tracks, and save the world. This thematic choice allowed Kit to situate educational content within a surreal and exciting narrative, providing a perfect balance between engagement and learning.

Every quest, nudge, and mini-game was designed to teach new financial concepts. The Quests walk kids through real-world tasks, such as setting up a savings goal, and authentic scenario-based learning experiences, like identifying scam emails and text messages.
Results show that one week after engaging in learning content and nudges, the number of children who have transferred to a savings Stack increased by over 250% (251%), with the amount of money saved increasing by a similar rate (245%). Kids and their parents are also talking about money more, and there's even been tangible change to how kids who've playing in the Quantumverse are spending their own money more strategically.

Because financial literacy can be boring. But Kit isn't. And when you're having this much fun, you won't even notice you're learning.
