This publication designed to accompany Auckland Art Gallery’s exhibition of Lisa Reihana’s video installation in Pursuit of Venus [Infected] reinterprets period French design sources.

The judges admired the depth of research and thought gone into this work, the fine level of craft evident in the execution of the publication, and the provocative nature of the subject that stimulates debate and discussion about our Pacific identity and French connections – as a valuable contribution in exploring our ‘Aotearoaness’.
