The pavilion rests on a gentle slope, with its wings spread, surveying the woodlands over the lake. It’s a quiet participant of the visitor’s journey, encouraging them to dwell for a little longer under its shade, to realize the beautiful details of their surroundings that they may have missed.
Judge's comments:
Wonderfully tactile and mesmerising in form, the wood pavilion is a piece of public sculpture that can be inhabited to uplift the spirit of the occupier.
