The Pavilions is a departure from the retailing norm. The built environment is deceptively simple – plywood boxes and trellis – to be blunt, but the big idea binds these and the ever more dominant plantings together to create just what it set out to be – a limited life, commercially viable installation. More than anything, this project embodies the daring idea, superbly executed.
