Description:

The brief was to provide the clients with a holiday home at the Tara Iti Golf Course directing the outlook towards the coastal view. A simple winged formed holiday home has a commanding view over the Tara Iti Golf Course and the Pacific Ocean. Growing out of the dunes, the anchored tent like structure opens towards the ocean letting light bathe the main living spaces, with the bedrooms tucked under the wings. The entire roof is overclad with cedar which disguises the large skylight that filters light into the main living area. Natural timbers and stone were selected to reflect the coastal environment.
