Description:

Evocative of sandcastles and surf-softened edges, this sculptural home is a legacy project designed for family connection and retreat.

Resolving a complex brief on a constrained site, the design negotiates spaces for both intimacy and gathering within a refined, bold form.

The home confidently addresses the end of the lane, establishing a graceful transition from public walkway to private life. Gently curved façades guide the eye to an inviting entry and double-height space that draws in morning light.

Twin sculptural terraces and stairways engage the public accessway, offering outlooks to the sandspit, bird sanctuary, and Ti Point. The central north-facing courtyard provides shelter and warmth.

Every material and form has been chosen to resonate with place – creating calm, flowing interiors and a lasting connection with the ever-changing coastal environment.
