Nightworks 3 Nightworks Studio
Creative DirectorsBen Wahrlich, Kiri Wahrlich
Set within Poynton House, designed by David Allen in the Mid Century Christchurch Style, Nightworks Studio is a calm and considered space that forgoes the norms of a traditional showroom. Natural textures, light and warm tones provide the perfect backdrop for the studio's stunning lighting collection and custom furniture. Nightworks Studio stripped away the 90's partitioned offices that once stood, revealing the once hidden cast concrete ceiling and creating an open plan space, conceived as a warm and welcoming lounge environment.
The showroom effortlessly flows through to a studio space and onto a production/meeting space, creating an immersive environment where visitors can experience the production process and products in context. Retractable linen curtains separate the spaces which can be drawn to provide private meeting spaces, or opened to allow visitors to move freely about. A kitchenette sits adjacent to the main space, flanked by a workshop separated by translucent fiberglass panels.
Everything is designed to be on show, visitors are welcome not only see the showroom but also be engaged with the studio and production spaces, so all aspects of the fitout had to be complementary to the design ethos.
