Description:

uring the COVID-19 lockdowns, Mibo emerged as a culinary gem in Auckland, blending Shanghai's French-inspired baking with Emma's creative vision. What started as a small venture quickly blossomed into a sensation, notorious for long queues snaking down the street. As demand soared, Mibo expanded to a new flagship store four times larger than its original, a collaboration echoing Emma's dedication to excellence.

The spacious new venue integrates a bakery, full kitchen, large cabinet displays, and indoor dining—an evolution designed to maintain the familiarity of Mibo while elevating the concept to a new level.
Inspired by Mibo's philosophy that "every step is the most important," the design mirrors their approach by selecting a concise and considered material palette. Warm hues and soft peach tiles and English Tawa timber create a welcoming atmosphere, with futuristic and angular touches of stainless steel to contrast the warmth. Spherical pendant light accents add a signature touch, enhancing the aesthetic appeal and tactile experience. The open shelving system showcases treats like artworks, blending form and functionality. Custom furniture, crafted with care akin to Emma's pastries, underscores Mibo's commitment to uniqueness.

The design not only accommodates but enhances Mibo's renowned pastries, ensuring every detail contributes to a visually pleasing and gastronomically satisfying experience. It's a space where patrons can savour the familiar while indulging in something new, and bridges tradition with innovation.

In essence, Mibo's new flagship store is more than just a bakery; it's a celebration of culinary craftsmanship and community spirit, inviting Aucklanders to enjoy a unique dining experience where each element, like their pastries, is crafted to perfection.
