Tax time can be stressful for sole traders, but not with Hnry—the trailblazing tax automation service. At the end of the financial year, their mission was to attract attention, and a new audience, with a public activation to remind sole traders that Hnry takes the stress out of tax time.

Hnry encouraged people to smash away their stresses at a unique ‘rage room’ experience. Hosted on the Wellington waterfront, this tailor-made shipping container pop-up included check-in and changing rooms, audience seating areas, and two main themed spaces—THRILL and CHILL.

Across three days, ‘DE-STRESS with Hnry’ invited crowds and online onlookers to cheer on stressed guests as they donned safety gear, grabbed baseball bats, and demolished crockery and electronics—sourced sustainably, of course. An MC and DJ ensured things were vibing at all times.

With their stress relieved, it was time for guests to chill. A bathtub of Hnry stress ball giveaways, designed with Instagram in mind, a calming beverage, and a mix of mellow house DJs.

This playful, colourful and tactile experience was designed to embody the Hnry brand and core proposition, put a smile on faces and attract new customers. Behind-the-scenes, the production and creative team worked tirelessly, smashing out videos to ensure ‘DE-STRESSED’ with Hnry was a raging success, everywhere.

Mission accomplished. With a staggering 5.5m impressions online and what Hnry described as the ‘best performing creative they’d ever had’. Smashed it.
