Description:
DARKLIGHT is an immersive light and sound experience that invites audiences on a journey through shifting thresholds of space, light, and atmosphere. Presented in a historic industrial venue
The opportunity was to create a first-of-its kind of cultural experience that transcends traditional exhibitions. DARKLIGHT reimagines how audiences engage with light and sound, using minimalism, mood, and spatial design to evoke deep emotional response.
The upper level began in near-monochrome with white light, reflective materials, translucent forms, and ambient sound establishing a quiet, almost reverential atmosphere. As visitors descended into the lower level, colour, motion, and sonic complexity gradually intensified, culminating in a fully immersive audiovisual performance space.
DARKLIGHT’s approach prioritised restraint and precision. Rather than overwhelming visitors, it offered space to breathe, feel, and reflect. Installations were choreographed to original compositions, with lighting design enhancing the sense of immersion and emotional depth.
