This fashion show was created to transform the runway into a platform for social impact, where representation, mental health advocacy, and sustainability take centre stage. While traditional fashion shows often reinforce exclusivity, this event challenged those norms by showcasing diverse bodies, inclusive design, and community-driven purpose. It set out to prove that fashion can be a space for care, healing, and cultural change. The client objective — in this case, my brand, Tegan — was not only to launch a debut collection, but to do so in a way that centred on our core values: radical size inclusivity, local and ethical production, and mental wellbeing. Tegan presented 32 looks designed for women sized 4–30, using extensive fit testing and feedback to ensure each piece empowered the wearer. Two additional emerging designers were also invited to show their collections, ensuring the event platformed new voices and encouraged collaborative growth in the local fashion ecosystem.
