Dune emerged from our vision to seamlessly blend colour into interior spaces with subtlety and innovation. Thoroughly researched, we anticipate future demand while resisting the ephemeral nature of interior fast fashion, developing intentionally timeless pieces.

The design is a synthesis of environmental and emotional influence. Each rug starts with hand-painted watercolours, inspired by nature’s emotionally charged transitional moments. The blurred topography echoes undulating sand dunes and the everchanging contours of Aotearoa’s vast landscapes, offering a sense of immersive tranquillity. Dune is a reaction against rigid geometric binaries and visual noise, designed as a retreat from overstimulation with soothing washes of rich, earthy colour. The final rug radiates energetic hues at the perimeter, blending into a versatile neutral core.

Crafted to endure a home’s lifetime, the rug’s composition reflects the same longevity. Hand knotted in pure New Zealand wool, the rug is constructed out of regenerative resources, providing strength, permanence and an innate textural materiality. With the freedom to customise colour, shape, size and watercolours, clients are able to weave an individualised tapestry that aligns with their space both visually and emotionally.
