Judge's comments:
Noho is a very striking and original new chair, designed to dynamically move with the body. In aesthetic, it’s flexible auxetic detailing communicates versatile use and body motion support. In form and materials, it’s commitment to use up-cycled post-consumer plastic waste, in an easy to assemble knock down design for direct supply, and developed for manufacture in New Zealand (to leverage or country’s renewable energy as a key input) - sends a strong signal to inspire a responsible shift to circular material flows and a move beyond the discomforting ‘make-waste’ model
The Noho chair embodies fundamental values that should exist in every product produced in today's world. Every aspect of the design has been rigorously developed pushing the boundaries to provide a world class, ergonomically superior chair.
Its use of reclaimed plastics and sustainable processes throughout the supply chain as well as local manufacturing for quality control makes this product stand out from the rest.
