Description:

'Sketsel' is inspired by the Javanese Batik pattern of 'Parang'. The work is a crafted spatial screen designed by the arrangement of intertwining S shapes depicting unbroken continuity.

The design is sustainability inspired as it utilises recycled cardboard as the main material for its structure.

The work is precisely cut with laser technology and assembled by hand. Lighting is also deeply considered so that when backlit, the complex spatial interplay diffuses light creating a range of excitingand dynamic tones on the screen surfaces.
