Description:

Grace Modular Rail System is a universal design solution for integrating a handrail into bathroom walls, creating a gracious living space usable by everyone independent of age or ability. Through supporting a far wider range of mobility issues, this design improves the carbon footprint of a bathroom by extending its lifespan. The rail is easily identifiable while not being the main feature of the bathroom.

The design uses a modular system allowing individualised installation, easily adapting to bathrooms of different sizes and layouts, and offers personalisation in comparison to standard cookie-cut rail products.

The modular components are the Grace Module that creates a cavity for the rail, and the Grace Rail that sits on top. The cavity length is constructed using smaller modules with drainage options for wet areas, and the rail installed in one length. As the rail and cavity are separate, this eliminates the need for part lines or joints.

Features of the design include options like drainage for easy cleaning, backlighting to highlight the cavity shape while providing visibility, and a quality of friction through the matte powder coated aluminium material.

There are regulations handrails must adhere to, which restricts the rail diameter and cavity size. These parameters have been followed when designing to ensure Grace complied with requirements while creating a gracious product for use by all.

Grace integrates in the walls, so the cavity includes extrusions above and below to allow easy fixing to wall studs and integration with gib and tiles when building the bathroom.
