Description:

The ocean is a vast and intricate ecosystem that plays a vital role in the health of our planet. Recognising the significance of preserving this ecosystem, we set out to design the B-75 with a clear purpose - to facilitate comprehensive seabed mapping and water sampling for in-depth scientific research. The B-75 Benthic Environmental Research Vessel combines innovation, performance, and passion, inspired by the design language and values of the renowned outdoor adventure brand, Salomon. This vessel has been specifically designed to facilitate seabed mapping and water sampling, making it an ideal platform for scientific research expeditions. With its versatile features and functional design, the vessel offers a comfortable and efficient experience for overnight and day trips, accommodating up to four individuals for extended stays or ten individuals for day expeditions.

Its exterior design blends aesthetics and functionality, taking inspiration from Salomon's style and performance-oriented principles. Its sleek lines, dynamic curves, and streamlined profile ensure excellent hydrodynamics. The exterior colour scheme incorporates Salomon's iconic palette, visually reinforcing the brand association.

Inside, the vessel prioritises comfort, functionality, and durability, creating an inviting and efficient research environment. The interior design takes inspiration from Salomon's commitment to innovation, featuring modern and ergonomic furnishings, durable materials, and a layout optimised for research activities.

The B-75 features a comprehensive set of research capabilities: a radar system for real-time detection of vessels and obstacles, a rosette system for water sampling and analysis, as well as two Autonomous Underwater Vehicles for unmanned underwater exploration and data collection. The vessel's laboratory is equipped with advanced analysis equipment, providing researchers with the tools they need to analyse and interpret collected samples onboard.

The B-75 Benthic Environmental Research Vessel combines striking design elements with cutting-edge research capabilities. With its functional considerations and versatile features, the vessel provides an exceptional platform for scientists and researchers to explore and study the seabed environment.
