Description:
Atlas is built on a simple, elegant idea: a strong, central aluminium column to create tables of every kind. From focused work to collaborative meetings, the system is adaptable to a wide range of uses and settings in all heights and sizes. Made locally with an interlocking aluminum extrusion system, the table system offers versatility and durability.
Atlas tables create natural focal points for gathering and exchange. The cylindrical and pill-shaped shrouds present a distinct visual identity. While the structure communicates strength and permanence, the material and detailing express a sense of softness and lightness. The proportions are carefully considered, allowing Atlas to feel grounded in a wide variety of environments. Generous tabletops, durable materials and adjustable heights bring structure and support to the most fluid work environments. Power and fixings are concealed, providing a clean, uninterrupted surface.
Inspired by the challenge of making a column from metal, the system is an innovation in furniture engineering. The interlocking extrusion system functions as a versatile kit-of-parts offering both flexibility and strength. Crafted from aluminium, a material renowned for its durability and infinite recyclability, the system embraces circular design principles. Subtle extrusion lines reveal the story of how each piece is made, connecting the product's form to its fabrication. Smooth, continuous surfaces invite interaction, reinforcing the table’s role as a point of gathering and collaboration.
The shroud design removes visible hardware, expressing a sense of visual calm and architectural simplicity. Atlas avoids unnecessary embellishment. Its refined, minimal language adapts easily to diverse interior aesthetics. Atlas offers a blank canvas for customisation, with finish options ranging from polished aluminum to powder coatings, timber to laminates, allowing it to adapt to different environments while maintaining visual cohesion. The interplay of round and pill profiles will help define any space, while a variety of finishes add texture and tone. Its sculptural presence makes it suitable for executive offices, creative studios, and collaborative spaces, standing as a quiet statement of its own.
Atlas tells a story of transformation, of turning raw material into something refined and socially meaningful. It represents a design-led approach to engineering, where form and function are equal partners. Atlas does not just fill a space; it helps define it, inviting users to co-author the culture and functionality of their environment.
