Judge's comments:

The chizelled forms cleverly respond to the materials used to manufacture this ruggedly handsome craft and produce an honest aesthetic befitting its natural habitat and purpose.

Description:

The acclaimed 2250 Ultracab WT (Walk-Thru) is a new & innovative 6.85m aluminium trailer boat that presents features never before combined in a vessel of it's type.

The boat is designed specifically for the unique needs of the recreational fishing, family & adventure market in the Pacific North West of North America and is a result of intensive market research, end-user collaboration and iterative design development.
The 2250 Ultracab WT is the first production boat design in it's class to successfully combine a lean-forward windshield with a bow deck & forward access door without compromising the ergonomics.
The central bow access door has frameless glazing and it hinges upward and slides away into the roof while the lower portion transforms fluidly into access steps with unencumbered ergonomics.
The door effectively disappears when opened, thus removing any sort of interference to the cabin's living spaces caused by an opened door. It also allows the door to be operated while cargo is being carried on the foredeck, a valuable ability for island commuting and loading luggage on and off to the shore.
Functionally the boat excels as an outdoor adventure platform for fishing and diving, island commuting & exploration purposes with excellent access to the shore over the bow.
The needs of the market dictated an ability to launch and beach the boat on the shoreline where no jettys or wharves exist. This design allows this without need to clamber around a cabin or climb through a hatch and the bow ladder provides a simple path to the shore.

The unique design form challenges the traditional aesthetics of the target market yet remains familiar in format and true to Stabicraft’s unique visual identity. Both of these resonate strongly with the consumer and have resulted in very strong sales orders.
The boat's lines & design language are synonymous with Stabicraft’s unique visual identity. It brings a modern and edgy sophistication to the Pacific North West market which is typically dominated by traditional aesthetics.
Lean-forward windshields are a very desirable feature in this market due to the extra cabin volume they allow for. The 2250 Ultracab WT not only boasts a lean-forward windshield, but includes a bow deck and uncompromised door ergonomics. These are features not found together on any other competitor in its class.

Prominent Options:

The "Offshore" package incudes a V-berth under the bow deck big enough for 2 adults, something no other boat of it's kind can offer.
Additionally, converting the sleeper/storage boxes within the cabin allows for sleeping for a total of 4 adults.
A rigid glazed rear wall can be optioned to create a fully enclosed cabin with excellent visability. This is a vital component in Pacific North Western off-season conditions.
The rear wall option can be additionally upgraded with a second helm station on the rear deck which enhances the trolling experience when fishing with towed lures.

The 2250 Ultracab WT allows adventurers and families to safely explore their coastal environment without compromise and to Adventure with Confidence.
