The LA Colorscape series was a collaboration with Walnut Wallpaper, the Los Angeles based wallpaper showroom.

A collection of six wallpaper mural designs created in response to the light and colours of Los Angeles and its scenic surrounds. Their release was timed to coincide with the opening of a new expanded Walnut Wallpaper showroom in the heart of Beverly Boulevard, LA.

The collection was inspired by the expanses of colour the city offered – blue vistas that blended into perfect gradients of colour at sunset; gradients of the blues of the sea to the blues of the sky; honey sands to powder blue skies; desert tones to sunset hues.

They also reflect on that what separates New Zealand and LA is the Pacific Ocean. We are on one side, and Walnut, the other. Textural brushstrokes create an endless pattern of waves, white caps, haze and mirage of colour.

They have since been installed in a variety of locations ranging from high end residential interiors to the interior of the Louis Vuitton store, Auckland.

All murals are available on both a fibrous FSC certified paper for residential applications as well as a recycled heavy-duty grade substrate for commercial applications.
