“Blue Cow” is a slice of life short film about a cosy, kiwi café. The story follows Ewan (60s), the overly attentive owner of the Blue Cow Café, as he embraces the challenge of working solo when his long-time business partner retires.

Blue Cow is a film about the smaller moments in life, inspired by our team's experience working in hospitality, an exciting and unique place to tell a human story.
We aimed to create a warm, inviting atmosphere in our fictional café and enjoyed taking on the genre of ‘the hang-out movie’.

Blue Cow was made in windy Wellington and filmed at a charming little café in Seatoun, a pleasant seaside suburb. To complete the project, we were kindly supported by our family, friends and flatmates through fundraising, quiz nights and early morning drives to the location.
