Description:

During the festival of Tet in Vietnam, which celebrates the arrival of spring, there are so many people everywhere, all the time. You really get the feeling of drowning in people. There are lots of red objects due to the colour's close association with good luck and wealth. Smoke from food stalls and incense give the festival a mythic atmosphere.
This animation employs a split between the aesthetics of a scene made from paper cutouts, depicting the fragility of youth and a comedic mood, and a stylised 3D environment and character models, that transport the viewer into a sense of realism, based on memory.
