Description:

Stranger Things is one of the most well-known TV shows in the world. We were asked to develop a series of three shorts to launch the mobile game “Stranger Things – Puzzle Tales.” Leaning into the 1980’s aesthetic of the show we looked to reference classic Saturday morning cartoons of the era – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, ThunderCats, Transformers. Using 2D traditional animation we developed a look and feel that harnessed the nostalgic vibes of cartoons in the 80’s. Hand painted backgrounds created a rich palette that developed as the risk and adventure grew. The shorts were developed to explain the origins of the “Dice” which guide the player in game experience.
