Judge's comments:

Each scene felt like a gentle massage for the eyes and ears. The idea of creating a music video to reduce anxiety felt fresh and relevant and the execution created a beautifully trippy, stylised world to enjoy.

Description:

BAGELS. Created by BENEE. Backed by science. A new song designed to help when you’re feeling anxious. BENEE has collaborated with New Zealand mental health charity Youthline and leading neuroscientists on a new single, scientifically designed to help reduce anxious feelings.

We created the music video with the same scientific input to help drive the visuals. Using principles from (EMDR Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) - horizontal eye movement is one of the key techniques and is purposefully present in every scene.
