Description:

The brief was to create two bespoke beer can labels for Ōtepoti, Dunedin company Cook Brothers Construction, in collaboration with Otago Polytechnic’s Brew School. One label was intended as a corporate gift, while the other commemorated the company’s 20-year anniversary. The design needed to capture and communicate the shared values, innovation, and excellence of both collaborators.

The modular design encourages interaction: when assembled, the four cans tell a unified story, subtly reinforcing themes of teamwork and construction. The thoughtful use of colour and structure speaks to flexibility in design. The outcome reflects a uniquely New Zealand approach, blending local cultural values with contemporary visual storytelling, thus resonating both socially and culturally with its audience.
