The purpose of this project was to create a fresh collection of imagery for Company of Strangers featuring their permanent ‘Classics Collection’ line of jewellery. The ‘Classics Collection’ re-imagines the delicate accents of cherished family heirlooms, transforming them into a bold, versatile range that bridges the gap between past and present. Each design is unexpected yet familiar, sentimental and unique. Drawing inspiration from motifs of deconstruction, the designs present a dark yet delicate aesthetic.
The suite of imagery and supporting outputs for this project needed to reflect the brand’s existing aesthetic and communicate the collection’s narrative in a memorable and compelling way. Presenting a novel look at a familiar collection would deepen engagement and expand the brand’s audience.
Photography offers a unique opportunity to tell stories and collaborate with other creatives. I explored a blend of analogue photography, digital techniques and physical methods of distortion and abstraction. Rather than simply showcasing the products, the creative direction explored how jewellery can carry traces of memory, deconstruction and change.
