Description:

Waha is an intergenerational Māori-led creative whānau blending mātauranga Māori with digital expertise. Their work spans storytelling, events, production and community activation, all grounded in strong kaupapa. They needed a new brand that reflected both their cultural roots and modern vision.

The identity centres on hā — the breath of life — and is built around three pou that represent Waha’s core values and way of working. These pou act as the structural pillars of the brand, with hā flowing through them — much like creativity flows through Waha’s communities.

This concept is expressed visually through the Waha tohu, which takes the form of a pou. Patterns, inspired by whakairo, are woven into the system, grounding the design in both meaning and mauri.
