With an insane year came some insane briefs – and I wanted more of them! Being part Mexican, my brand relies heavily on motifs and tropes from my home-place and culture. I also wanted to target FMCG businesses, and had a lack of packaging in my portfolio – so this was a good way to prove my skills in that area.
Done on the cheap, I wanted something that felt like a bright light in what felt like a pretty sh*tty year for everyone involved. I wanted it to be fun, weird, colourful and edible – so holographic labels, hand-dipped wax caps, tongue-in-cheek copy and my favourite hot sauce seemed like a no-brainer.
