Description:
1 Reserve Road is a new purpose-built facility, consolidating 10 NSW Health agencies into one building in St Leonards. This new building also enhances the public precinct, providing a pedestrian network including a pedestrian connection between St Leonards Station and the North Shore Hospital campus.
Unique murals were created for each of the six floors, providing a focus point across the floor and activating the central teapoint in the workplace. Three floors explored the theme of connection to country and place reflecting the natural environment of the local area. The other three levels reflected the themes of health and wellbeing. Each mural is unique and doesn’t repeat, giving the workplace a different feeling on each level. The murals were hand painted on site, allowing them to integrate, wrap and respond to the interior fabric of the building. The colour palette for the murals works in harmony with the interiors to create a cohesive experience.
