Metro has long been part of Auckland’s cultural fabric — a place where food, politics, art and opinion collided. When the magazine was shuttered during the pandemic, it marked the end of an era. But not for long.

Resurrected by a collective of creatives and newly reimagined, Metro returns with a sharper lens and a broader mandate: to reflect the city as it really is. Messy, beautiful, complex — and worth paying attention to.
