Atamira Dance Company is New Zealand’s leading Māori contemporary dance theatre creator.

Te Wheke is a new work, bringing together eight choreographers and dancers, symbolised by the eight tentacles of Te Wheke, The Octopus.

Custom lettering and typography combine with dance expressions to create a sense of rhythm and movement. These are sliced through to create a graphic watery distortion.

Typographic forms fade in and out, interweaving with figures, like seaweed. When used together the typography links the posters together as it overlaps the edges.
