Description:
At the start of 2023, Delivereasy was New Zealand’s best delivery app that only 1/3 of New Zealanders knew about. The problem was, instead of looking like the local good-guys, they looked exactly like every one of their multinational corporate competitors.
Our brief was to distil what makes Delivereasy different from its competitors, and re-design the brand to embody everything they stand for.
Delivereasy is the delivery app that doesn’t just arrive with food, they leave you with a better taste in your mouth. Because they pay staff fairly, care about the things their customers care about, and look after the restaurants that look after New Zealand.
We drilled down into New Zealand's subculture of food delivery and the humble roots of Delivereasy to establish a DNA of what we called "Endearingly Ambitious". The same spirit that inspired a couple of mates to take on the global tech-giants from a bedroom at bottom of the world.
Armed with this new brand essence, we developed a new hunger-inducing colour palette, brand font, a logo that’s simultaneously a helmet and pin, and photography treatments. We created a tone of voice centred on the fact that Delivereasy leaves a better taste in your mouth. And crafted an aesthetic that referenced this attitude using playful angles, drool-imitating typographic ink-traps, bold contrast and hearty illustration. The staff loved the new logo so much, every one of them had it tattooed on them.
We launched this refreshed identity in a national brand campaign introducing the real Delivereasy to the world.
