Description:

Pop’Set is tangible reminder of the versatility of coloured paper and how it can be more impactful when compared to standard white paper. Our job was to showcase and promote Pop’Set’s dynamic range through an impactful sampler, to inspire the imagination of designers.
Knowing paper manufacturers tend to be restricted in their promotional reach, our concept needed to let the paper do the talking, its full range, in all its colourful glory. To understand the connection we wanted to create with designers, we designed with ourselves in mind. We were the audience too!

Pop’Set’s power is the family of colours available, so being able to see the spectrum of colour at one time was central to the success of the sample. With the cue of name as a starting point for the feel and energy of the package, we designed around a broader concept idea of ‘Colour your world’ - celebrating the joy of colour, how it enhances life, how you feel, and see the world. We wanted to really get design working in form, function, colour and word to inspire more use of colour and inspire unique, individual choices through an inventive display of colour options within the book.

We aimed to design with purpose - a format that strikes the perfect balance of playful and functional, showcasing the full family of colours at any one time, whilst allowing for each individual colour in the palette to shine. Developing a bespoke die cut shape that reveals the layers of coloured paper underneath while organising colours on a spectrum for ease of navigation. The result is tactile, and expressive of the raft of moods and feelings they can conjure, with a vivid spectrum of tonal possibilities. Seeing and feeling more with a Pop 'Set of moods and hues to colour your world.
