‘No Blanket Value’ is a campaign by Social Value Aotearoa, crafted in collaboration with Noa Blanket Co, to challenge how value is defined and measured in impact investment.

The campaign was created to reach those shaping funding, policy, and social outcomes: the people whose decisions determine what gets measured, what gets resourced, and ultimately, what gets to grow.

Rather than respond with another report or media release, Social Value Aotearoa partnered with Noa Blanket Co to weave a message into form. Noa’s practice, grounded in care, community, and cultural integrity, ensured the blanket would hold meaning, not just material.

Once traded by colonisers to Māori for land, resources, and taonga – often on terms that favoured the Crown – blankets became symbols of value lost and culture commodified. This is not that blanket. This is a challenge. To be accepted, not gifted. A gesture of alignment, and an entry into a living whakapapa of those choosing to account differently.

This is business communication delivered not through decks or reports, but through presence and purpose. It speaks not just to organisational values, but to what those values look like when held, shared, and lived.
