Templar is a cypher lending protocol designed to shake up the finance world, and it needed a brand powerful enough to match. We were tasked with creating more than just a visual identity. This was about telling a story, building trust, and introducing a new category to the market.
Inspired by the legendary Knights Templar, early pioneers of banking, we developed a concept rooted in strength, stability, and mystery. The central idea: stone and code. Solidity on the outside, technology within.
We brought this to life through marble textures, architectural blueprint lines, and glitching digital details. The colour palette referenced gold leaf and ancient artefacts, while the layout system drew from publishing and architecture. The typography was sharp and technical. Every design decision was made to balance the historical with the futuristic.
The centrepiece is a marble pillar. At first, it’s still and monumental. Scroll, and it fractures, revealing the high-tech heart within. Then it reforms, stronger than before. This interaction mirrors Templar’s mission: break open the systems of the past, reveal something stronger.
