Description:

Printers Inc is a well established commercial printing house in Christchurch, New Zealand. Covering all types of print – from digital and offset to merchandise and apparel – Printers Inc specialise in digital printing, owning one of only two Indigo digital printing presses in the South Island.

They required a new website to properly showcase their unique personality, offerings, and also augment their wider brand style. They wanted the new website to concentrate on their dedication to the craft of printing, and the incredible attention to detail they apply to every project they undertake.

Various aspects of Printers Inc’s day-to-day printing processes influenced the creative concept for the website, translating a very human-centric process into the digital web-browser platform. The browser window transforms into a freshly printed page, complete with bleed and crop marks. Each page of the website employs a different digital translation of the physical printing process: colour, separations, registration, ink application, offset type – right down to the humble curser being used in different ways to showcase various projects.

The result is an innovative website for Printers Inc, showcasing their offerings and dynamically enhancing their wider brand. The site sits at the crossroads of CMYK colour in a very RGB world… much fun is to be had here.
