Fried Egg Golf is a beloved voice in the golf world, known for its smart, irreverent take on the game and its cult following among architecture nerds, pros, and casual players alike. With a growing network of podcasts, articles, events, and a membership club, Fried Egg had outgrown its original WordPress setup. They needed a solution that reflected the depth of their content, the quiks of their brand, and the passion of their audience. We migrated more than 2,500 articles and 150 course galleries into a new Webflow site that brought their personality to life in a fresh way. The new site puts content first while embracing the quirks that make Fried Egg unique. Layouts flex to support different content formats. A tagging system inspired by scorecard symbols lets users quickly parse media types. Playful motion adds life without getting in the way.
Still and moving imagery sit at the heart of the visual experience. From sweeping course panoramas to quirky bunker close-ups, visuals guide users through the site, echoing the way golfers read and respond to a landscape. We treated imagery not just as decoration but as a storytelling tool, creating a rhythm that mirrors the pace and feel of a round. The picture-in-picture media player lets users play and explore without pause, allowing them to browse articles while listening to podcasts or watching videos. The result is a continuous, freewheeling conversation about golf.
For members, we built a custom experience that allows users to sign up, manage profiles, access exclusive content, and engage with comments and community posts. It is part editorial hub, part digital clubhouse. Since launch, web traffic is up 78 percent, membership is growing, and Fried Egg is cementing its place as one of the most distinctive media voices in modern golf.
