David Trubridge, based in Aotearoa/New Zealand, is a globally recognised designer known for his sculptural lighting and commitment to environmentally responsible design. This project involved creating a new e-commerce website that reflects his legacy of innovation and sustainability while offering a seamless digital shopping experience.

Our approach centred on storytelling. Beginning with an invitation to join David on his daily walk into nature, where he finds his inspiration. From there, the website guides users through the David Trubridge collection via immersive visuals, rich content, and responsive navigation. Each product page blends practical information with the design story of each pendant, helping customers discover how lighting can transform a space through ambient glow and striking shadow play.

Design elements, from a natural colour palette to sustainably sourced materials that mirror the brand’s values, while the site’s performance, accessibility and mobile optimisation ensure a smooth experience across all devices. Integrated storytelling features, inspiration galleries and David’s content-rich blog further support customer engagement and brand discovery.

The result is a visually compelling, user-focused website that honours David Trubridge’s design ethos and expands his reach to global audiences. It’s more than an e-commerce website, it’s a digital experience of David’s life, long work with light, shadows and sustainability.
