Description:

Netwealth is a technology company, a superannuation fund, and an administration business. While they are known for their highly-rated desktop platform, they needed a new mobile app to better serve their 'Whole of Wealth' vision, bringing together Financial Advisers, their investor clients as well as direct investors.

Both audiences are very financially literate; Investors are looking for both a high-level view of their net position and a detailed view of daily trends while Advisers need quick access to their clients and their information.

Our design vision was to create an experience that looked simple but still included additional valuable functionality. We wanted to maintain a focus on headline information at all times and allow the user to access detailed information without navigating away and potentially losing context. That meant establishing a strict typographic hierarchy, keeping layouts simple, and employing interface elements like filters, sticky elements, and tabs.

We made it easy for adviser clients and direct investors to get a birds-eye view of all of their accounts and their assets and liabilities, while allowing for more detail to be uncovered via an intuitive navigation system. Users can personalise their experience with a range of colour themes combined with light and dark modes.

This project is the result of several talented people working together tirelessly on a shared vision. We hope the new App will meet Netwealth's ambition to create a tool for Advisers to better engage with their clients and for direct investors to better engage with their wealth.
