In 2021, NRMA released A FIRE INSIDE – a significant project including a feature documentary and a book – to create a national movement in partnership with Minderoo Foundation to mobilise Australia’s largest contingency of volunteers to prepare and protect Australia from future natural disasters.
The bush fires had left many Australians feeling ‘Helpless’ in the face of existential threat at a scale previously never experienced. A Fire Inside captured the ‘Power of Help’ as demonstrated through the actions of fellow Australians. It also gave every Australian inspiration and a way of ‘Helping’ to protect communities from fire and flood, before they occur through the Resilience Corps.
