Facebook New Zealand, in partnership with Police and Netsafe, approached us with a problem it wanted our help to tackle: ordinary New Zealanders were scammed out of more than $11.6m dollars in 2020 and that figure was rising exponentially, with scams becoming more and more sophisticated.

Our challenge was to develop a campaign that conveyed the very serious subject of scams in an engaging way that resonated with a wide range of New Zealanders.Our solution? The Society of Con Artists and Manipulators Gallery — SCAM Gallery for short.
