Judge's comments:

Te Oro demonstrates the value of early engagement of mana whenua and extensive engagement of a community, delivering a unique modern expression of Tāmaki Makaurau, quickly becoming the heart of a community.

The building itself it a very thoughtful response to underpinning cultural concepts, that are brought to life through community use every day.
